Come celebrate our First Annual Queer Prom Night at Heart of Art Gallery
during Riot Grrrlz “Queenz of Chaos” Alternative Drag Night.

Did you miss your high school prom or just never went because you felt like you did not fit in?
Did you ever want to go to prom and be yourself in any character that inspires you?
This queer prom we encourage everyone to come out and think outside of the box.
Be your fav movie or cartoon character & come celebrate your queer prom.

Let’s go back in time and change the way things are done. We have a super creepy fun queer prom headed you way with 11 drag queen/king performers hosted by so cals punk princess Scarletta Le Terre. At Heart of Art Gallery we celebrate women and queers in their arts. This Queer Prom show is an inclusive show to queers and their allie friends who like and respect a queer community & want to be part of an incredible experience. We are a warm and friendly art gallery in south la and we welcome everyone who enters our doors respectfully no matter what gender preference.

We have a costume / prop photo booth for you to take cute prom pics, tons of super gay giveaways & we will have ballots to crown the most creative Queenz & King couple. Stick around for the dance party music provided by Deejay Nova Jade* Superstar.

Bring a date, ask a friend & share with like minded people. Check out art, meet the queenz & meet our Feature Artist: Alfredo Garcia. We have over 100 pieces of art surrounding our gallery from floor to ceiling by various local female/queer artist affordable for everyone.

Walk-A-Thon for Optimist Youth Homes & Family Services – UPDATE


WATM WalkathonSUCCESS!

The 2nd Annual 5K Walk for Optimist Youth Homes & Family Services (OYHFS) held May 19, 2013 was a HUGE success! I really enjoyed my first WalkAThon and I sincerely felt it was transformative on many levels… Thanks to the support of family & friends, I surpassed my personal fundraising goal and my team, We Are The Movement, ranked #3 overall, donating close to $1700 to OYHFS! Check out the video of my team doing a performance at the WalkAThon: We Are The Movement at OYHFS Walk-a-Thon – 05.19.13. We Are The Movement is an Arts-based nonprofit that uses House music DJing, dance and percussion style to mentor at-risk youth throughout the community, starting with those in residential/foster care homes! Every Soul LA – NEW Arts-Inspired Shabbat on Nov 12, 2010!


Hey all!

A new young adult service that is occurring at the Temple of the Arts happens tomorrow 11/12/10.  I am doing a spoken word interpretation of the V’ahavta.  We are creating something new in Los Angeles, it’s the first one, and I would love it if you came.  Plus…in addition to great artists and a wonderful service; we will have a truffle and caramel tasting; as well as a tasting of Stampede, the new vitamin infused beer (that’s right..a beer that’s good for you).

TIME: Doors at 7pm, Starts at 730.
