“The Benefits of Music Education”
flute-296417What was your first instrument? How old were you when you started?
What impact did playing that instrument have on your life as you became an adult?
My first instrument was the flute and I got my first concert flute at the age of 6… I ended up playing all the way through University, participating in concert bands, marching bands, jazz bands, ceremonies, and yes, even a few band camps.
I don’t play the flute any more, but my appreciation and love of music stemmed from being immersed in Music Education at a young age…
Now, I am an award-winning DJ, and combining this love and passion with Health Coaching, to one day have my own spiritual wellness radio show.
Do you have a similar story about the impact of an early Music Education on your life? I’ve only shared a little, but if you’ve been following me for a while, you know that my musical background and experience is vast and my abilities diverse.
Truly, I am grateful for starting the flute at such a young age.
Learn more of the benefits by checking out this great article I found from PBS.Org, The Benefits of Music Education.
