This is part 3 of 3 of my series on confidence, and I wanted to go out with one of my favorite types of posts, the Quote Post. I find (and some of you have told me), that these are the post you enjoy the most because they are “inspiring”…

PS: Originally, I was going to post 18, but when the inspiration flows, I go with it! 🙂
There was a time when I would get my menstrual cycle and I would be utterly disappointed.
For me, it meant
horrible pain, dizziness, dehydration, exhaustion and the complete feeling of helplessness.
You see, I was raised by a single-parent father. And though I appreciate and respect him for doing the best he could to raise a daughter by himself (since I was 5-months old), I still had to learn how to be a woman in many ways by myself. The first time I had a period, I was 9 years old… through shear trauma and pain, I finally started to have what I call, “a happy period”, in my mid-20s.
Today, I celebrate my period, my menstrual cycle, my happy period, my Moon Cycle, as a way to Celebrate Womanhood.
[ The Experience ]
Today was the first time in over a year or so where my Moon Cycle came with a vengeance. I totally credit it to not taking care of myself this past week; working on my business overtime, and eating junk to save time. Bad idea! LOL
But, I thank the beautiful practice of Yoga being in my life. Because even though I didn’t make it to a class at the studio today, I was able to still do Yoga. I looked online for some Menstrual Cycle-specific poses and found some. I integrated one of the poses into my practice today and you have no idea how grateful I am!
In case you are curious, here are two of the resources I found:
Yoga is just a beautiful thing. I never thought that 22 years after having my first Moon Cycle I’d be tending to my discomfort with Yoga, targeting my belly and lower back in gentle, effective ways. My breathing deepened at the end of my practice tonight, too (when I first started, it was shallow and fast).
The best part, I only invested 20 minutes of my time for this healing. I find that as I Salute the Sun in my practice, Yoga also allows me to Honor The Moon.
Now, I will definitely continue Yoga (and eat right and balance my work load properly).

[ The World’s Largest Nutrition School ]
International Participants join the stage at the November IIN Conference!
The Institute for Integrative Nutrition, or IIN, is celebrating it’s 20th year and is THE World’s Largest Nutrition School. At this weekend’s conference, there were students attending live and via online from places including: Moldova, London, Canada, Kuwait, Mexico, Poland, South and West Africa and Australia, in addition to the USA!
IIN is a GLOBAL community.
I am glad to be a part of the ripple as a current student. My graduation is February 2015, and in the time I have been a student, I have learned way more invaluable information and experienced transformation more priceless than my tuition can be “valued” at.
Part of the invaluable information and priceless transformation has happened “outside” of the classroom, via the LIVE Conferences.
[ The Conference Speakers ]

I was hesitant to click on this post when I saw it in my feed because sugar is just very much something to not be advocated for (inflammation, diabetes, etc). But, I’m glad I checked!
What I liked most was the use of sugar alternatives. Though, with all sugar, do your best to keep it to a minimum for optimum health. 🙂

Halloween is not widely celebrated in Australia but I really wish it was. I’m a sucker for a costume party and love the idea of transforming the house into a haunted mansion and baking the most creepy Halloween dishes I can find on Pinterest.
Today I wanted to share one of my favourite recipes, Chocolate Peanut Butter Cups.
Reese’s peanut butter cups are one of my all-time favourite treats. So when I came across Alicia’s Silverstone’s healthier, dairy-free version of the famous sweet I had to try it. After using this recipe countless times, I have to say they are one of the most delicious and easiest desserts to make and a hit at parties. You can easily substitute the ingredients to include dairy but I promise you won’t miss it.

People say, “if you keep doing what you’ve been doing you’ll keep getting what you’ve been getting.” Sounds like a great motivational line, but maybe you’ve been doing what you’ve been doing because of where you are at. In order to do different you need to raise your chronic vibrational level.
Teachers of the Law of Attraction accurately teach that in order to manifest a better life than you have been manifesting so far, you need to raise your vibration.
They wrongly teach, however, that the way to raise your vibration is to have only positive thoughts.
Positive thinking is indeed the first step to manifesting and it is invaluable in the process of raising our vibration. However, positive thinking alone will only raise the conscious vibration, while manifesting is really produced by the chronic, or deeper-mind vibration.

“Whether it’s a plain cheese, a deep-dish stacked with meats or a thin-crust veggie delight, there’s just something about pizza that makes it delicious. There’s a lot of chemistry that goes into everything from dough to sauce to toppings to, of course, cheese. There’s also a very specific chemical reaction at work on every single slice, no matter what toppings you choose.
