My 10 Day Meditation Challenge, Day 1
(Starting at Day 95)
[ I love A Good Challenge ]
My friend and fellow Health Coach, Andrea posted this today:
I love a good challenge… in fact, after I post this, I’m heading to day 18 of my 30 Day Yoga Challenge. I also love to support someone who is doing something for their health and wellness, so when I saw Andrea’s Facebook page post, I joined in!
[ The Experience ]
95 days ago, I challenged myself to meditate and chant for 40 consecutive days.
When I said yes to this 10 Day Meditation Challenge, I looked at my tally and was shocked to see that I was almost to day 100 of daily meditation. I figured this challenge would be a great way to stay fresh (and social) with my meditation practice as I move into my 100 day milestone (and beyond).
[ My thoughts about Headspace ]
I think Headspace is a great, and easy-to-use platform. I love how I can track my progress and be a part of a larger community of simultaneous meditators. I think when I sat down to my 10-minutes today, there were 5700 others meditating at the same time! So cool. I also love that you can invite others to participate with you…

Personally, I thought Andy talked a lot during my first session, but luckily I was able to let that go. Methinks it seemed to be a lot of talking because I’m at a point where I rarely do guided meditation, and can sit (mind wanderless) very easily these days. Nonetheless, I thought the prompts he used were interesting, and I’ll use some for my practice, and discard the others, accordingly. At the end of the day, meditation is for you, and you alone.
Overall, I give the app and my 1st day a rating of 4.5 stars.
